Brush Up Your Technique, for Real

I happen to love makeup brushes. I despise cleaning them…but love using them. A good brush can make even so-so makeup look great.

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman

Real Techniques (by Samantha Chapman) have been a long love of mine. They’re affordable, cruelty free and work fantastic! I was super excited to try out the latest additions; the Fine Liner brush and the Expert Face Brush. Let’s just say, I was not disappointed.

Expert Face Brush
is similar to the Buffing Brush but it has a flattened barrel which makes it perfect for applying foundation flawlessly. Another thing I love about the Real Techniques brushes is that their taklon bristles allow them to dry faster than any other brush I own. Great when you’ve forgotten to wash your brushes at the last minute.

Fine Liner Brush
might be my holy grail eye liner brush. It’s that good. The bristles are just a tiny bit longer and firmer than the Mac 110 and that gives you a bit more leverage when creating a thick cat eye like I usually wear. It is also near perfect for tight lining the upper water line (which I HATE doing)!

All in all, I would say you basically need these brushes. And if you haven’t tried the Real Techniques makeup brushes, go for the
Core Collection
…you will thank me later.
