Gucci Westman. First of all, what a name. Second, what a gift to the world of makeup. The thing I most admire about Gucci’s work is the way she can take a complicated look and make it seem like any old girl can do it. Which is what makes her so great for Revlon. And lets talk about her latest collab with the brand – Evening Opulence. If you haven’t seen it on drugstore shelves, keep your eyes peeled! It is a beautiful selection of jewel-toned hues that are perfect for the season.
I was most tempted by the lip butters. Basically, because one is mint green and the other is purple (even though they come out mostly clear). I love that a drugstore brand like Revlon was daring enough – visually, at least – to go along with that concept.
If you’re looking for something that screams holiday, I would grab the lip gloss in Provocative. It has the most beautiful deep blackened plum tones mixed with a multi-color glitter. The colorful shimmers don’t quite translate on the lips but the sparkle it gives is lovely.
Another of my favorites from this collection is the nail polish in Divine. It IS divine, for certain. Again, it has just the right amount of blackened red and burgundy and gives the nails that super glamorous finish.
