suede matte crush

It’s clear to me that if I were limited to blogging/talking about only one item of makeup, it would 100 percent be lipstick. It is my forever obsession. That said, lets talk about mascara. Gotcha! We’re totally going to have a lipstick moment today.

The latest in my makeup bag rotation have been these long-wear lovelies from glo minerals. There are two new formulas – the Suede Matte Stick and the Suede Matte Crayon. Personally, my preference is for the crayon because…crayon. Both formulas offer antioxidant protection and conditioning ingredients that include Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Mango Seed Oil and Shea Butter. They have a lightweight, full coverage formulation and wear anywhere from 4-8 hours on me (depending on what I eat in the meantime).

I have Trademark, Crush, and Bombshell from the Suede Matte Crayon collection. I love how they include a sharpener on the pencil so you don’t have to carry one with you wherever you go. I feel like you can get quite a bit of precision from the crayons and since they are so matte and pigmented, I very rarely reach for a lip liner with these. Trademark and Crush have become my go-to shades for spring and I’m dying to get my hands on Sorbet (a bright pink).

Trademark is a gorgeous peachy nude that compliments fairer skin tones. I love how smoothly this one applies and the subtle flush it gives the lips. It wears for around 4 hours on me.

Crush is possibly my fave of the bunch. It’s such a fun bright coral-red. Absolutely perfect for when you want to add a little punch to minimal makeup days. It’s also quite long-wearing – around 6-8 hours.

suede matte bombshell

Bombshell is a lovely bright blue-based red. It’s just a touch darker than Crush and is one of those reds that makes everyone’s teeth look whiter. This one felt just a bit heavier/drier on my lips but still wore well – I got about 5 hours of wear time out of this one.

Suede Matte Stick

The Suede Matte Sticks seem a bit sheerer and even lighter on the lips than the crayon, but you’re still getting a full-on pigmented matte lipcolor. I find it’s a little harder to be precise because of the angle cut design so I typically would use a lip liner when wearing these. I have the shades Pinup and Port.

Pinup is another bright red but this one reads a little more neutral or true red than either Crush or Bombshell. I think this shade can so easily be worn both day and night! It wears for around 5-6 hours on me.

Port is an absolutely gorgeous deep berry wine shade. It goes on sheerer than the other shades that I have in the collection but can be smoothly applied with the help of a lip brush. This is one shade I would recommend pairing with a lip liner to really get a clean application. I get about 4 hours of wear from this color but it leaves behind a lovely berry stain.

What are your favorite long-wearing red lipticks?
