The time between Christmas and New Year’s is usually one of my favorites. I like to take some time off of blogging, writing, filming, creating, designing, etc. and just relax and plan. Well, this time around was a bit different. Today is the first day in 7 days that I have put on real girl clothes and even attempted makeup. Like so many others, I got hit with a brutal flu that knocked me flat on my back and is still trying to hang on.
Since I’m currently sounding more like a cheese grater than a human, I haven’t been able to even think about making a video for you (sad face). When January 1st hit, I was so stressed about getting everything started and anxious about making new blog posts and videos and such for you, but then I realized something. Part of blogging is just being real. I want the things I say on How to be Fancy to be funny and inspirational and…fancy. But really? I also think it’s important that we all feel comfortable being ourselves. Even when that means we don’t look or feel our best.
So me and my little red nose would like to wish you a very happy New Year. Whether you’re on day 3 of booty boot camp, or you ate pizza for breakfast…remember that being fancy isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being real. Thank goodness!
I’ll see you all really soon!
