April was a month of changing skin-type for me. So as my skin decided to freak out a bit, I adapted my routine a bit. Here are my favorites for the month!
I ordered this mascara mainly because I got a really good deal online. I have since fallen in love. It does the perfect job of separating and defining lashes. The wand is made of a similar material as Covergirl Lash Blast (which I despise) but is in an interesting thick-to-thin shape that makes reaching the smaller inner corner and undereye lashes a charm. It’s not super volumizing but if you want a lengthened and defined look, you must give this a try!
You’ll know that I did a review on this foundation not long ago. Since it has been warmer I have literally put my $42 Nars Sheer Glow on the shelf in favor of this $6 mineral foundation. Now, if you want really full coverage, this won’t be for you. If you like a soft evened-out skin tone that you don’t have to powder or you just have oilier skin you may find yourself loving it like I do!
I’ve had several late and sleepless nights recently so bronzer has played a major role in helping me get a bit more radiant skin. It’s also great if you haven’t had a chance to get out in the sun yet and want to have a little more glow.
This color from the Zoya Intimates collection is the color that sold me on Zoya Polishes in the first place. It is a lovely grayed purple that just screams of spring. It also looks brilliant paired with the coral and blush colors so popular right now.
This creamy matte lipstick from the Quite Cute collection was basically the only thing I couldn’t live without. I don’t know what’s going on with the MAC collections recently, but while the visuals are stunning as ever, the products just aren’t intriguing me as much. The Candy Yum Yum lipstick is so fun paired with a neutral eye and Vino lip liner, though.
I have been on the hunt for a night cream containing retinol that wasn’t so expensive that I would feel bad using it. I’m not sure how much of the wrinkle fighting goodness this moisturizer actually contains, but it does feel lovely on the skin and has little to no fragrance which I absolutely love.
This has been my only hair color for the past year and I couldn’t live without it. It goes on fairly easily and lasts quite a while (for a red). The shades of red that they offer are also quite bright and vibrant which I love.
This product is genius if you are having any sort of issue with dry lips or cuticles. I use it every night before going to bed and it is wonderful!
I purchased this eyeliner on a whim the last time I ordered from E.L.F. I haven’t used liquid liner in years and thought I would give it another go. I love that you can get a very fine line with liquid. I don’t love how harsh it can often seem, though, so I recommend placing a black eyeshadow over the top to soften the look.
I don’t know about the anti-puffing properties in this product, but I LOVE how it feels under tired eyes in the morning. I also use it in the afternoon to give my eyes a pick me up after working behind a computer all day. It has a slight tint to it so I would say it’s for light to medium skin tones, but there is a clear version as well.
